October was #NationalPastaMonth and I had the chance to participate in a few media events around Tampa Bay to celebrate it. (As if I needed another excuse to run around town stuffing my face with pasta). Here are three fun restaurants and stores for you to check out in Tampa if you love Italian food as much as I do!
BRIO TUSCAN GRILLE
I was hosted by BRIO Tuscan Grille to try out their special pasta options for #nationalpastamonth. Our Tampa Brio is located the Bay Street area of International Plaza, a really nice outdoors plaza, perfect for date nights and strolling with the family. My fiancé and I went on a date night, and I ordered the Lobster and Shrimp Ravioli with spicy black pepper cream, spinach, and grape tomatoes. He ordered the Pasta Fra Diavolo with shrimp, with a spicy tomato cream sauce and campanelle pasta. Both dishes were great, but after tasting both, I liked mine more! We sat outside, enjoyed a glass of wine, and people-watching in the newly cooler weather. A perfect weekday date night! Through the end of November, the restaurant is hosting a rooftop Happy Hour, Every Wednesday, 6:30-10 p.m. Highly recommend it!
MAGGIANO’S LITTLE ITALY
Lastly, earlier this year we were invited to try out Maggiano’s Little Italy’s new #MaggBrunch menu. I couldn’t leave out one of America’s most popular Italian-American restaurants, whether you choose to go for a traditional pasta meal or a delicious and savory weekend brunch. The chefs took classic breakfast items and added an Italian-American twist to create The Meatball Benedict, Crab Cake Benedict and Lemon Ricotta Pancakes, just to name a few. We thoroughly enjoyed every single one of those creations.
These were just a few of the many places to enjoy pasta and Italian food around Tampa, and I will dutifully continue to explore them, one delicious meal at a time.
