As I picked Oreo up from his semi-anual comprehensive exam yesterday (all is well with my little fluffball) I saw this truck with giant pictures of pups and cats on it – instant smile on my face! It was the Humane Society of Arizona‘s Waggin’ Wheels adoption truck! I hadn’t seen one before and thought it was such a cool idea.
|Food trucks, move over. Hello adoption truck!|
The animals come to you, and they stay in their air conditioned crates on really hot days (basically everyday in Central AZ). Check their calendar for dates and locations.
|I wish I could take them all.|
Our Oreo is a rescue dog, (hailing from Animal-Aid) and as our first fur-child, he holds a very special place in our hearts. He’s sweet, caring, so hilarious, and protective of his new baby brother. It’s wonderful to watch their relationship develop!

As many of you know, adopting pets is a much better option than purchasing one at a pet store (see links below). There are so many misconceptions about rescued animals, but with a little bit of research and some time spent with them I know you’ll think differently! If you’re not ready to adopt, these nonprofit organizations can ALWAYS use a volunteer hand. Here are some links to get you started on your research:
